In 1977, Our Company was founded to engage in the business of residential and commercial real estate brokerage. Originally affiliated with the Century 21 franchise system, we moved in 1986 to become an independently owned affiliate of the Coldwell Banker Real Estate Network. It is owned and operated by Matthew A. Vitanza and William B. Haidinger under the name of Coldwell Banker, George T. Decker Real Estate.
The Company can be characterized as a first tier Real Estate sales organization serving Binghamton, the surrounding Broome, Tioga and Chenango markets, as well as Susquehanna and Bradford Counties of Pennsylvania. For many years, people have utilized the high quality services offered by Coldwell Banker to sell and buy thousands of properties in our market area. In the early 1990's, over 500 homes were marketed and sold for IBM transferees with services provided by our relocation department. Today, as a CARTUS Principal Broker, we handle numerous incoming and outgoing relocating employees for major employers such as IBM, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, USAA, NYSEG and Verizon. From 2000 to the present Coldwell Banker, George T. Decker has maintained the #1 market position in listings and sales, averaging over 1200 transactions per year, with two of our three offices having been awarded the "Premier Office Award".
